I know a lot of people are worrying about me leaving for Africa in July. As soon as you say "Uganda" people freak out, think you're crazy, ask "why?!", etc. I know good and well what I'm getting myself into, and the risk that I am taking in going.
I was doing some research tonight though, and I found where exactly I will be in relation to the conflict of Northern Uganda.
I put a red star on the area I will be working in. As the map legend indicates, the yellow areas are where all the conflict has been occurring for the past 20 years.
I just felt like this is something worth sharing! And that everyone would want to know.
